So, its a great time to go out and pick up a steal of a deal on a new Buell. Sadly, if there had been more interest in the first place we might still see the Buell being made, but for the sake of seeing a few more on the road, the time to buy is NOW, especially given the Federal stimulus tax incentive
Brammofan sez it all, but I loved the picture whether real or not and had to repost it along with this quote from my hero Michelle Obama, “Although the President could not be reached for a comment, Michelle Obama’s press secretary said that the First Lady does not approve of him not wearing a helmet, but “if he’s got to have his midlife crisis, at least he’s being environmentally responsible about it.”
As an addition to the above: Shocking Barack, is a fun website to check out as two guys attempt to deliver a new efficient Brammo Enertia to President Obama. You can even sign your name on their website for them to “sharpie” onto the bike previous to delivery! Now how fun is that? Show your support and check out their website!! Good luck guys!
In reading about Harley Davidson’s economic downturn as reported by the Huffington Post, I discovered a little piece of Harley history, that I knew nothing about, Boardtrack Racing!
The first competitive venue for Harley was in boardtrack racing where the tracks were made out of wooden boards, and the first one in the country was in Playa del Rey, CA. I can’t even imagine the carnage of falling on a boardtrack!
Boardtrack racing is one of the many subject you can read about on Wheels Through Time, a website offering video footage and motorcycle history information as well as a museum you can visit in Maggie Valley, NC. YouTube had this video of Dale and a 1921 Harley that he found.
