If any ad could make me want another BMW, that would do it.
I had a horrible ownership experience with modern BMW motorcycles, but there’s something about those Airheads that keeps pulling me and pulling me. That ad captures the allure of the older machines, and the excitement of modifying them for performance.
Beautiful, that enriched my day. Thanks!
@ Jenn, I hear ya! I have considered the “dark side” and moving to a smaller displacement bike. The F800GS is pretty darned slick! But it costs way more than my Bandito. Soooo, i wait.
I love the feeling this ad conjures. It’s magical and the machines are unbelievable. I ‘d do um.
Yep, the F800GS would be the Bimmer for me too I think. Over here in Thailand I saw a nicely equipped used one going for about 400K baht, about $13K USD. Too rich for my blood.
Tastefully done video BTW, good pick.
Been awhile since I’ve been on here and look what I missed!!
Lovely ad! Beautiful photography. Makes one want to seek out one of those older machines and slap down the ol greenbacks!
I love the 650GS but boy, even those are PRICEY and a half! So like you, I wait…
I have been debating whether to sell Soren and buy a used F650GS (the twin) since last summer! I love the 800 you are looking at D, but for me those would be too “bulky” for my skinny legs!
Oh my, much more to my taste than the “Shutter Speed” film you posted elsewhere, Donna!
Met someone last summer who was selling a mid-80s R80GS…I was considering it…
