We left Mike’s at 8am and arrived back in Carson City approaching 5pm. What a great day of desert riding accumulating 260 miles. Time for a well earned glass of vino and a relaxing spell in the lush backyard surrounded by none other than the Hummingbird Moth. Yes, there is actually a moth that looks, sounds and eats like a hummingbird. I never got a pic, however did attempt to sketch one. Their proboscis is wound up when flying but straightens out when drinking. Very strange.

Day 3
Today is an easy ride to Reno and a visit to the Nevada Art Museum. This museum was founded in 1921 but entirely rebuilt in 2002-03. Architect Will Bruder claims to “strive for the balance of the poetic and pragmatic” which the building definitely achieves.
