November – Twofer One: Sonora Pass and Washington, CA

Fast Forward…the following weekend

We decide upon a less daunting journey up to Old Hwy 40 and on to the odd little town of Washington, CA, an unlikely candidate for mainstream travel and a more likely sister town to Rachael, NV found on the Extraterrestrial Highway, Nevada 93.

The winding roadway down to Washington is an exciting jaunt, one any rider with some skills could briskly assume. Gary rode gleefully through the twisting descent, and I followed some paces to the rear. He had prefaced the trip with a descriptive narrative of the town, even so, I was in awe.
