Love the shadow shots

I arrived in Orofino at the Konkolville Motel
around 7pm, just enough time to find a store and buy a chicken breast and Caesar salad and vino. I had a great dinner outside at the pool and visiting with other motorcyclists, as that was nearly all that were there. Sadly the grill your own steak is only available Mon-Sat and it was Sunday night, so the Caesar had to fulfill!
I met a couple on Harleys from Louisana who trailered their bike across country and then park and ride the scenic routes. They both had a short vacation time, so this worked for cutting out the slogging across the country. They were really fun and we had a great visit.
I also met Sharon (Bullett) and Jan (twisties) from BMWsporttouring.com
They were headed to John Day, OR for the UnRally. They knew me from my early membership (who can forget the screen name demenshea?) and told me if I was going that direction to join in on the festivities.
Day’s Miles 236
Day 7–July 7
I decided that might be a fun idea so when morning arrived I indeed headed toward John Day via the old Spiral Highway a bit north of Lewiston. Well worth the diversion.

Crazy stuff, this road!!
