Moving my schedule ahead by 3 days, as they were closed and the hot springs empty for cleaning had foiled my plan of going to Lehman Hot Springs. When I tried to cancel, I was told that I needed to have 21 days for cancellation. Geeze, missed they by about 19 days. They did tell me they would issue a gift certificate good for a year. May make a good Christmas gift for my OR family.
So my routing changed a bit, but I still wanted to ride USFS 51 and 52. It was rather late in the day, but I felt the draw of those two roads and with my spot in hand, I was ready for nearly anything. Apparently USFS 51 is the area 51 of OR. I never saw a soul. I was alone in the universe, no cell service and a very goaty road.
