Yukio Asari of Love Architecture. has designed an apartment building in Setagaya, Tokyo specifically for motorcycle riders. The three story steel framed structure has living space and a narrow garage area on the bottom floor, just big enough to fit a motorcycle, or perhaps a bunch of bicycles. I love seeing the open living style bringing the outside inside by using so much glass.

These apartments appear to be quite small by American standards however, there seems to be ample space for setting up a complete household. I imagine schulgging furniture up all those stairs would be less than fun!

It’s good to see a design that focuses on the growing niche of alternative transportation users.
