I have always held a respectful fascination for women who take to the road solo. Especially given there aren’t many, however when a female rider takes the road to Alaska solo, then she has really gained my undivided attention! Agirl began this journey and for all but two weeks rode alone covering 12K. WOW!

I have been working my way through an amazing ride tale from Agirl, who in 2007 did a solo ride to Alaska from Arizona. The beginning alone is fraught with challenge as she was trying to get ready to leave on this huge endeavor and the power failed in her neighborhood in Phoenix from vandals. What an auspicious beginning, packing in 111 degrees and then getting the hell outa there to the open road! Hats off to you !!
