More on the Death Valley Ride

The CA Poppy Reserve

My travel mate Bruce took some wonderful shots and though I don’t usually post other’s travel photos, most of these are of me, so why not?

This shot was taken as we entered the WildRose Pass area. Amazing how the road seem to just keep going!

Riding out toward the Kilns, was fun until we got to the last 4 miles and the road became dirt and gravel. Normally this would not have stopped me, but my chain was in need of some attention and I didn’t have my cleaner or lubricant, so felt dirt was probably best avoided.

I can see a smile in that helmet!

Artist Drive and a poppy by any other name…

This is a photo of our singing and dancing waiter at the Ensenada Grill. Eddie, the son of the owner had come home from college to help out. He’s gotta find success with all his talents! I mean this guy could sing!

The Atomic/Phoenix Inn by night…some crazy lighting!

I mentioned chatting with the caretaker of the Goldwell Open Air Museum in Rhyolite. Well here we are obviously hitting it off. Riley was an encyclopedia of local knowledge.

The Crowbar is where we stopped in Shoshone for lunch. Service was super S L O W, but the food was quite good. Hmmmmm

Bruce’s “art” shots that I just loved!

Tomorrow more shots of Bruce’s from my Streetmasters session.
