Viajar por España – Part 4

Gassing up in Spain

Rhonda

I managed to catch a glimsp of an Osbourn Bull, the controversial roadside sculpture along the highways in Spain is both loved and loathed.

Thanks everyone…i am having fun reliving every moment of this momentous journey!

This castle is on the hilltop in the city of Aracena. Funny how while watching the road, I often don’t look up and I have to wonder how many other castles and sights, that I missed!

The northern town of Aracena was really a beautiful place, located in the northwest corner of Andalusia.

The road running between Aracena and Alájar was a gorgeous twisty road in the Sierra de Aracena Parque Natural which is filled with Chestnut, cork and oak trees and also the town that was soon to become my favorite, Alájar.

Upon entering the town square, I could hear someone playing guitar. It echoed throughout the buildings and couldn’t have been more welcoming to a very weary traveler. The funny thing was I asked where La Postada was located, the hotel where I was staying and I was standing right next to it!
