Ok, I have been sitting on my arse for over a month now, without a hint of ever having ridden before except for the fading memories of the last awesome ride. Time to get offa the couch and get into some sort of shape for taking on a 500 lb. motorcycle. I have some free weights, a yoga mat to ease up the firmness of the hardwood floors, and all the time in the world, so it’s time to go to my favorite website for moto-fitness, Bluepoof.com.
Carolyn sez to pick a goal and a routine to help you reach your goal. What I like about Bluepoof’s suggestions is that they are do-able, even for someone older and lacking any sort of physical prowess. You simply have to start at the beginning and give it your best shot. Also remember that being faithful to a routine is what one needs, so it’s more about daily dedication and less about hours of painful workout. Pick a goal, pick a routine and be faithful to it. Explore your neighborhood with a nice daily walk and stay hydrated.
Guess I need to rethink that shopping list on the refrigerator that consists of milk, 1/2 and 1/2 and a bottle of Irish Whiskey. ; )
