Losing Liz…Elizabth Taylor dies at 79

When I was a kid, I grew up seeing Liz Taylor in my mother. I always felt that if anyone could come close to competing with Liz’s beauty, it was my mom. From my earliest memories both Liz and my mother mesmerized me by their stunning beauty and gorgeous eyes. I saw nearly every movie Liz was in, and each and every time I thought of my mother in that role. I know this probably sounds crazy, but I actually felt a personal loss today, when I read the NYTimes headline.

For fun here are some photos of Liz interspersed with ones of my mother, Dolores. (Liz photo credits to Google images unless otherwise noted)

As I perused the web looking at photos of Liz, I was thrilled to discover several photos with her friend Malcolm Forbes riding motorcycles together. This was a side of Liz I knew nothing about. I’d like to share two of these jewels.

Godspeed Liz, you’ll be missed, but we’ll have your beauty to gaze upon infinitely.

A special thanks to my wonderful mother, for inspiring this post…thanks mama!!
