silly google exaggerated image (but not really…)

I haven’t had a seat for my motorcycle for several days now, and as I await its delivery, I have been driving my car and have noticed many motorcyclists out on the roads carrying passengers skimpily dressed. I don’t get it. I am a female and would never consider riding without at least a pair or jeans! The scary part is that they just don’t seem to understand what will happen if that bike takes a spill along the way? What responsible motorcyclist would let their SO or girlfriend be so silly and ride with so little protection?

In the span of 15 minutes, while having my car washed I counted no less than five unprotected pillion riders. Everything from shorts and flip flops to halter tops and skirts, yet the rider of the bike was in full leather or some other protective gear in every case. Why? While a woman may look beautiful half naked on the back of your bike, she won’t look nearly as nice if the bike tips over. It gives me the chills, thinking about it.

Dress your pillion in protective gear and keep him/her safe or don’t take ‘um!!
