As the riding season is upon us and the beautiful pass roads are opening up, it’s high time to make some suggestions for exemplary rides in California.

I feel so fortunate to live in a state where one can ride somewhere, all year with no worry about seasonal changes. Yes, it gets a bit chilly here and we do get some rain and snow, but like food for a starving soul, a determined rider is able to conjure up one yummy road or another. I have my list of favorites, and I have plenty on my “to-ride” list as well, but for the sake of those seeking some immediate pleasure, I’ll list a few roads and routes for those coming to CA to ride!
