I’ll be motorcycle touring Spain, leaving May 28 and returning June 13. I can’t believe it!! I am so fortunate to be able to have this trip of a lifetime, upcoming. As I get ready for this journey, I will be posting routes, gear etc as I go along.

First off, I’ll be taking a checked luggage with all my riding gear. I will have a protective vented Joe Rocket jacket and pants. The jacket has a waterproof liner, however the pants do not.
I will have my Nolan full face flip up helmet and my Sidi short boots. I will bring layers to wear under my gear, as the weather is supposed to be hot, but I always like to be prepared for any weather conditions.

I’ll be traveling with a friend, Ken and we are both renting BMW F650GS bikes, from BMW Moto Rental in Spain. They have a wonderful assortment of beemers, but we opted for the least expensive machine that will satisfy our riding adventures and allow us the petrol to travel!

I am trying to allow plenty of flexibility in routing for seeing the sights and experiencing the wonderful roads, however I am not trying to cover too much territory and I do really want to get the “feel” of Spain without feeling pressured.

Oh ya, and we are staying here with friends! Now that’s nice!

I wish I could say I spoke the language, but I do not. I am trying to learn some basic phrases and greetings to at least show my good intentions! ; )
