The Academy of Fashion and Design AMD recently combined forces with the BMW Museum in Munich for an elaborate display of fashion surrounded by the extensive glory of bygone years of BMW. A brilliant combination of nearly all the principles and elements of design. This show encompassed unity, harmony, balance, rhythm as well as line, shape, texture, and color.
A group of young fashion designers displayed their new designs combined with the fluid concepts of BMW’s technical development throughout its history.
The week long show was open from January 29th – February 6th. The general theme of the exhibition was the fusion of vehicles and fashion. Discussions were held by industry representatives from both fashion and vehicle design covering such topics as, ‘How to communicate fashion’; the ‘impact and perception of fashion presentation’, and; the ‘philosophy and development of fashion collections’.
