The Great Canada Adventure…Slogging CA to Boise let the real roads commence!

It began as an inquiry on my home motorcycle forum, pashnit.com as to routes and sights not to be missed in Canada. I wanted to ride farther north than I had in the past and see some new country.

Well, as the posted advice came across, one heavily detailed post caught my eye posted from my mate in Scotland, who goes by the screen name of Notarian. He gave me the best maps, routes, details and sounded excited by the very incarnation of this ride. It was natural that I suggested he fly over and ride it with me and my husband gave the plan his endorsement. So, here we are, two dedicated solo riders on a twosome adventure for the next three weeks, having a flat awesome time!!

We left Monday July 11 riding north. The first couple of days were pretty rote without much excitement or stimulation, but day three out of Boise, things started getting good! The photos start there!

Much of our trip north has been waiting…yep the great sight of summer road construction! But going toward Salmon, ID the tarmac could not have been better. It’s all worth the wait for a new surface.

This place in Idaho City put smiles on both our faces. Much like the Nit Wit Ridge in Cambria, this place was built from lots of old treasures.

Along the Salmon River, the scenery is verdant and lush.

Shot from the hip, so to speak.

Bill complained that I am posting too many photos of him…my response, “you are riding in front of me dood, what’s to be expected?” So plan on several photos of the roadways, complete with a KTM rider. 😉

Love this KTM view…

This view near Challis looks alot like Nevada imo…it was the first encounter with some weather.

Lots more to come so stay tuned…I’ll post with available wifi!
