Day 12–Torrey, UT to Panaca, NV–High Desert

Heading back into Boulder.

Back on Hwy 12, I was ascending to the summit of the Grand Escalante Staircase. There is a canyon on both sides of the road.

This was shot right past the Coffee Kiva, that I should have stopped at, however I had already used much of my time and had many more miles I was trying to cover before sunset.

Dropping out of the Escalante Staircase, I was working my way to Bryce Canyon. Gary and I had been in Bryce only a few short months ago, so I opted to skip the park on this trip and instead was hoping to get to Cedar Breaks NM near Cedar City, UT on my way to Panaca, NV, where I had planned to stay with some friends. I knew I was going to be running a bit late, but thought that I would be able to make my goal and still ride up into Cedar Breaks NM.
